You can farm stone elemantals outside of sardelaac for granite in HM. However there isn't much in proph that is farmable because the weapons aren't inscribable so you'd need to find warrior and ranger weapons that are naturally 15>50 or perfect caster weapons.
Underworld is now mostly 600/Smite now or A/Es. You can check the pvxwiki for the 600/smite build.

i use a totem axe.
Is there a 600 build for proph? i dont remember being able to do that.
Also i still need to know if hard mode will produce enough more drops for me to be able to farm the old spots. or if the stone elemantals are better then the trolls or minis.

Best to look in the farming forum and all farming builds are on pvx or in sticky in the farming forum. The 55 is far from dead though.

i know how to find builds. i just wanted to know some things, and some things that i cant test (such as if in hard mode my drops will be good enough at say.. trolls, to farm there)
and if the Proph build is still viable when farming.
and i remember when 600 builds came out, you couldn't do them with just proph, you had to have one of the other expansions. is this still true, or are there proph builds now for 600 monks.

No.It is not possible to farm trolls in HM as they have healing signets and for the 600 tanks build you need Faction for Spirit Bond but you can do 600 smite. This is with Prophecies only.
The 55 is mostly in Bergon Hotsprings and Gates of Kryta in HM most use the Mo/D with mystic regneration but the Mo/W is still good or /Mes.

55 still holds thier own as well as the 105 or 135 as they can solo. This is something 600 can't do unless you use a hero but that slows you down.this being dual smite
for Christx you can do the Mo/N part.

Well you can still 55 tank UW (with an SS/SV partner) using something like: PS - Breeze - Shielding hands - Spellbreaker - Bonettis - Mending - Blessed aura - Balthazars spirit.
Not as good as safe as the shield of absorbtion monks, but it works pretty decent.
For solo farms you can do the undeads outside bergen with same type of build as the above one but with SoJ and Blessed signet instead of Bonettis and spellbreaker. Theres other places thats possible aswell, like Hydras in the dessert (swap blessed sig for Balanced stance)
Hmm, farmable stuff would be, HM ettins in ettins back, megoyles outside Gates of kryta, undeads in Gates of kryta mission, umm, the 6 or 9 Jade in the start of Ring of fire mission, 2 man Fow as 55 tank with SS. Dual UW / FoW with you being the smiter (quite borring tho), hmm, Blessed griffons / thundra giants in snakes dance, Minos in Anvril rock, HM Stone elementals in Ascalon, HM Tengu outside Lions Arch, Defend Kryta titan quest (hm titans outside LA).
Not all of it is super profitable, but its farmable none the less'.
(only have proph and factions myself, so alot of my farming is in Tyria :P, builds differ tho, using SS on a monk is pretty good sometimes)

You don't use shielding hands on Mo/W or /Mes with a /W you use the following skills
Protective Spirirt,Healing Breeze.Bonetti's Defence,Shield of Judgement or Spell Breaker,Blessed Singent or Zealots of Fire,Mending,Blessed Aura and Balthazars Spirirt.
You don't drop Bonetti's for anything else on a /W as it provides you with energy and defence. You don't need Balanced Stance for hydras going up Snake Dance you would.

Well shielding hands allow you to take way more aggro, you have to be a bit careful with the small downtime on it if you dont have Bonettis, but its still a damn good spell if you dont have Nightfall. Like for the undeads outside bergen. They have alot of degen, so Shielding hands let you aggro alot of those without getting killed.
Blessed sig over bonettis for a bergen build is because the majority of the enemys there are ranged, which bonettis dont give energy for (also, if you block an attack you aint damageing it with SoJ)
And for hydras then balanced just makes it easyer to aggro and such, not needed, but you might aswell. Bonettis can replace it tho if you feel betting about managing KDs than energy.

Shielding hands isn't needed as you got healing breeeze for that and bonetti's black projectiles meaning arrows as well as melee attacks.you don't need balance stance for hydras as protective spirit will protect you from that.Bonetti's does provide energy in return.

Shielding hands is needed outside berged tbh when you run a mending + breeze monk. A 8 regen breeze with 4 regen mending obviously give 12 regen, but if we consider that the mobs there use: Rangers poison -4, Mesmers Phanthom pain -3, and a possible -3 from bleeding (hunters shot, only affect you if you move when hit by it ofc). Then're at between 5 and 2 regen. Even with SoJ on im not comfortable tanking 2 / 3 groups of undeads with that little regen and no other source of defense.
However, as I already said then Shielding hands is great vs other things than degen. Tanking 12 smiters in UW for example gets alot easyer when you can just do shielding hands, cover the small gap with bonettis, and then shielding hands again. Makes it very easy infact, compared to tanking off the same amount with just Ps, breeze and bonettis, which is quite nice actually'.
Yes, bonettis block projectiles aswell, but it only award energy on melee blocks. Further more then you lower your damage output from soj by a ton if your constantly using it to stay alive. So for those reasons I dont find it that great for farming outside bergen (tho I dont use blessed sig much there anyway, so the slot could be used for something completely diffrent if you wanted).
Not sure what you mean with Protective spirit protecting me from hydras. I mean, ofc it will cut the damage down to 5 like with almost everything else. But balanced stance protect vs the knockdown, which i dont see what prot spirit have much to do with...

I have no problems doing Bergon just got to watch out for the necrid horseman and cast SoJ after PS so my enchants won't be stripped.I don't have any problems with hydras without balance stance I can even use the Mo/Mes build for that as well.
This is all HM of coarse
You do need balance stance if you are going up Snake Dance.

The necrid horsemen dont have Ench removeal, they do have Barbs tho, which will increase the amounts of hits you take by alot.
But yea, bergen is possible without shielding hands (or any of the newer builds with SoA for that matter). Its just way easyer to bring it, so you can take on more without having to worry that much about barbs / bleed from hunters shot.
Btw, going up Snakes dance shouldnt be much harder than taking on hydras if you consider the KDs they use. Both types have a bit of cast time, and will do the same damage to you and all. So if want to take on hydras without KD protection, then you can prolly take on Thundra giants and Azure shadows aswell.
Tho I take Balanced in either case since its just easyer. Tho getting alot of hydras together is a pain if you dont have it, but its ofc possible. No reason to make it harder for yourself that in already is though.
